Wheat.—The market for milling quality is unchanged. Fowl wheat sells at 3s to 3s 3d for good whole wheat (sacks in). Potatoes-Prime Derwents were in good demand, and sold at £7 5a to £7 10s; medium, £6 15s to £7; best kidneys sold at £6 10a to £7; medium and rough, £4 to £5 10s per ton (sacks Chaff.—We catalogued eight trucks, nearly all prime. Best quality was well competed for, and sold at £3 12s IJd to £3lss ; medium to good, £3 5a to £3IOB per ton (bags extra). Straw.—Oaten straw (pressed), 32s bd; wheat, 28s per ton. Turnips (loose in truck), 14s per ton. Currots, 35s per ton (sacks in). RAILWAY RETURNS. •The greatest amount of revenue yielded during June bv any section of New Zealand railways was by the Hurunui-Bluff line, £ :0, v 56 19s going to the department. The least was from the Kawj-kwa section-£1914s 3d. Au Aueklaud telegram states that the Waihi gold mine crushed for the month 6,845 tons for bullion valued at £20,722, the second highest return yet received. The Royal Oak crushed 20 tons ore and 7841b picked stone for bullion valued at £1,600. A meeting of the shareholders of the Sew Hoy Riff Reach Gold Mining Company, Limited, was lull yesterday (Mr It. T. Wheeler in the chair), for the purpose of receiving the report and balancesheet from the liquidators in connection with the winding up of the company. The Chairman said that In accordance with a resolution passed at a special meeting he (Mr Wheeler) and Mr Gore were appointed liquidators. They found that the liabilities were considerably more than they were led to suppose. Had they disposed of the plant of the company at the outset it would have realised very little, aud it was decided to keep the thing on as a going concern, the result proving that this was the wisest course. Two of the dredges were disposed of for £11,200, and a third for £7OO, and the sundries came to i'l.OW), making the total receipts £4,960. The expenditure was £3,100, liabilities of the company, and £1,878, dividends at Bid per share.—ln reply to a question, the Chairman said that the liabilities were £BOO more than stated.—Mr Harty thought that a vote of thanks was due to Messrs Wheeler and Gore for the able manner in which the liquidation had been carried out, and he moved accordingly. Further, that the statement be received and adopted. Further, that the books be kept three months, and then destroyed by Mr Wheeler.—Mr Glendining seconded the motions, which were carried, Mr R. T.
