HARBOR BOARD AND CITY SEWAGE.
TO THE KDITOB. Sib,—l appeal to you if it might not be advisable to consult some chemical autho* rity as to the nature of the change in the composition of the “ stuff,” which I have never heard any nightman complain of as being difficult to handle with a ladle after its in the brackish waters of the Upper Harbor. Y,ou will remember, sir, how immense this alteration must be when so much money and brains have been expended in devising and manufacturing cutters of intricate and varied pattern to overcome its petrifaction. I wonder nobody has ever suggested the use of dynamite in working this quarry.—l am, etc,, Mudlark, Dunedin, July 30.
