KIN I NG INTELLIGENCE.

AUCKLAND MINES. The Waihi Gold Mining Company have declared a dividend of 2s per share. The Waiotahi monthly return was 15602 from 130 tons of ore. Instructions have been received that no information in relation to the Kapai-Vcr-mont is to be made public in the colony. Half the shares are said to be held in the colony. Owing to the legal opinion of Mr Theo. Cooper relative to the pooling of the share 3 of the Great Barrier Gold and Silver Company with the Johannesburg Syndicate to the effect that any dissenting shareholders could appeal to the Court and demand their shares from the pool, the directors have agreed to abide by that decision and to declare the pooling arrangements off. The work on the original Great Barrier Gold Mining Company is proceeding on the property under the supervision of the representative of the New Zealand and Johannesburg Syndicate, who have eome months' option over the ground.

The Upper Waipori Alluvial Gold Dredging Company, Limited, obtained last week from No. 1 dredge lOcz 12dwt of gold for sixty-two hours' dredging, and from No. 2 dredge 12oz Hdwt of gold for 138 hours' dredging.

The Jutland Flat (Waipori) Gold Mining Company's dredge resumed dredging on Thursday last, 2nd September. The Dunedin dredge washed up for last week 14oz 12dwt.
