ADELAIDE, August 25. A sensational tragedy is reported in the city. Mrs Nixon, the wife of a carpenter, wad visiting the office of H. M. Addison, a well-known surveyor, and chairman of the State Bank* when Nixon rushed in, exclaiming that he intended to settle a quarrel of eight years' standing, and stabbed Addison in the temple severely, and'cut him about the hands and head in the struggle. , Nixon then turned on his wife and stabbed her three times iu the back.. The woman is in a serious condition, and her dying deposition has been taken. Nixon had been absent in the country, and returned a few days ago.
