■“ Looker-on.” —In the first match Otago beat Southland by 3points (a try scored by Stephenson) to nil. In the return Otago were also returned the winners by 11 points to 4. Stephenson scored two tries, one being converted by Esquilant; and Priest kicked a penalty goat Hurst potted a goal for the losers.
