THE TRANSVAAL.

PRETORIA, August 12.
A report has been presented by the Transvaal Government recommending that a Board, consisting of five members nominated by the Government and four by the mining and mercantile community, shall be appointed on the Rand goldfield to supervise the carrying out of the liquor law and to pass a law for the prevention of gold thefts. It is also recommended that the Board have an advisory voice in respect to the employment of Native labor.
