CYCLING.

During the past month sixty-seven members have been enrolled in the ranks of the New Zealand Cyclists' Touring Olub, bringing the total up to nearly 600. The club's badge will take the form of a wheel, with the outlines of the map of New Zealand and the monogram of the olub within on the spokes. The new consuls appointed. for Otago are Messrs F. W. pattle (Palmerston), E Haggitt (Milton), E. C Gotten (NaseD)), J.T3. Forrester (Qamaru), and D. Stewart (Bilelutha). A committee meeting of the Donedin Cycling Chrb, was held last evening in the rooms, High street, Mr £. Boot (oaptain) in the chair.. A deputation was appointed to wait on the Portobello Road Board with the view of getting the toll removed. The secretary was instructed to communicate with the New Zealand Cyclists-' Alliance emphatically protesting against allowing the ohampionship meeting to clash with the club's annual sports on February 13. It was resolved to communicate with the Minister of Railways complaining of the damage done to bicycles belonging to the club's representatives in transit to Christchurch. Ten new members were elected. The club run will take place on Saturday to Henley, leaving the rooms at 2.30 sharp. The Otago Cycling Club have decided to take another large room in Jolly, Conner's buildings, which they intend furnishing as a social and card room, and which has the advantage of having three windows facing the Octagon. It is the intention of the club to celebrate the opening of the new room by holding a music il evening in about a week. Members of the orchestra are reminded that a practice will be held in the club room every Thursday evening, commencing tonight. The fortnightly run of the O.C.C. takes place on Saturday, leaving the Octagon at 2.30 sharp for Outram.
