Mails close at the Chief Post Office, Dunedin (subject to any necessary alterationsX as under:— Overland, North, daily, 10.30 a.m. Late letters, guard’s van. 11 a.m. Saturday, December 19. For Southland, Australian Colonies (via Hobart), India, China, Japan, Straits Settlements, Continent of Europe, United Kingdom, etc. Per Manapouri, at 7 p.m. Money orders 1 p.m., registered letters, books, and newspapers, at 5 p.m. Letters for the United Kingdom must be specially addressed. Parcel post mails for the Australian Colonies close at 3.30 p.m. on the 19th. Wednesday, December 23. For Lyttelton, Chi istchurch, and Northern Ports. —Per Tarawera, at 1.50 p.m. Late letters, guard’s van, Port train, at 2.30 p.m. Mails for Fiji, per Pukaki, will close at Auckland on Thursday, 31st, at 7.30 p.m. The Kahu will leave Lyttelton for the Chatham Islands on Saturday, 2nd January, at noon.
