A WARNING.

TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —I would like to draw the attention of parents to the necessity of keeping their children off the streets. The holiday season is coming on, and instead of children going out during the holidays they are all. over the streets, much to the annoyance and anxiety of tram-drivers and others. On election day it was with the greatest difficulty to drivers of horses to prevent accidents through children playing on the streets and running in front of the horses. Another thing parents ought to be careful about is to prevent the children holding on behind a cart or tram, as when driven away they run in front of another vehicle. Hoping parents will take warning and impress upon the minds of the children the danger they run —lam, etc., Safety. Dunedin, December 8.
