DUNEDIN JOCKEY CLUB.

The mouthly meeting of the Committee of the Dunedin Jockey Club was held last night, when it was resolved to allow Mr Barr to acoept tenders for making a course at Wingatui, three chains wide (one chain and a-half for main running track, one chain grass training track, and half a chain plough). Plans of Borne buildings, including a grand stand, were submitted by Mr Wales, and consideration was deferred until next meeting. Mr J. Fitzgerald, of Oamaru, wrote making complaint against Thomas Preen (jockey) for having left without notice.— Left to the secretary to call upon the boy for an explanation, and report to the president with power to act. Application was made on behalf of John M'Comb (jockey) for relief from the distressed jockeys' fund.—A donation was granted out of the fund. Application was made from the Volunteer Non-commissioned Officers' Club for the use of the park for the sports on Boxing Day.—The use of the ground was granted, subject to strict condition that the course or boxes should not be used. A sub-com-mittee was also appointed to arrange further conditions. Consideration of notice of motion to be brought forward at the Racing Conference at Christchurch was referred to the club's delegates, with instructions to oppose the formation of a New Zealand Jockey Club.
