LETTERS CONDENSER.
“ Straight ” writes : It is a disgrace to Dunedin that amongst all the crowd who witnessed the row there were only one or two who tried to assist the police when they were being shamefully ill-used in the performance of their duty. They are few enough in numbers, and are entitled to the support of law-abiding citizens. “Referee” writes suggesting that the Kaikorai and University Clubs should try to arrange for their match next Saturday on the Caledonian Ground. The University team have come so prominently to the front that the public are anxious to see them measure swords with the Kaikorai.
