LONDON, May 31. The steepleohaser Daimio has arrived all well at Naples. Derby betting : 6 to 5 on St. Frusquin, 4 to 1 against Persimmon,, 9 to ITeufel, 10 to 1 Regret. DUNEDIN CLAY PIGEON CLUB. The contest for Mr Barnard's prize was continued on Saturday, and exoited a great deal of interest, their being a goodly number of visitors present. The weather was simply perfect. The shooting on the whole was an improvement on the previous Saturday's performance. Messrs Cowie and M'Carthy during the afternoon secured five each ; Mr Hawkins, four three times; Messrs W. Davis and A. Cowie, twioe; Messrs Scott, Skitoh, and Bennett, once each. The following are the scores as they now stand with the numbers brought forward from the previous Saturday:— ,
The shooting will be continued next Saturday, and should prove a very close affair.
