ST. CLAIR SWIMMING TOURNAMENT.

TO THK EDITOE. Sir, Seeing that the Ocean Beach Domain Board have given permission to the Dunedin Amateur Swimming Club to hold their next tournament at the St. Clair baths, may I make one suggestion, which I do not think will be out of place. As the most likely competitors, and best swimmers undoubtedly, come from the north end of town, may I propose that the Committee of the above club make the race open to St. Clair residents only, as I am Bure there are a great many swimmers in St. Clair who would compete in this event who would never dream of competing against the cracks who come from the other end of the town. Hoping my suggestion will be considered by the Dunedin Amateur Swimming Club—l am, etc., Nuvick. St. Clair, January 31.
