FRIENDLY SOCIETIES.
The annual meeting of the Valley True Blue Lodge, No. 11, P.A.F.S.A., was held in the hall, North-east Valley, on Monday evening, when there was a good attendance. P.M. Bro. J. H. Gould installed the following brethren in their respective offices:— W.M., Bro. G. E. Bennett; D.M., Bro. A. Clifford (re elected); secretary, Bro; J. Jirdine (re-elected); treasurer, Bro. K. A. Pinder (re-elected); chaplain, Bro.'J. Edmond (re,eleoted); SE , Bro. J. Rwl; J.E., Bro. P. G. Cox", 1.G., Bro, T.Arnold. Bro. James Phillips was reappointed lodge repre. : eentative in Grand Council. The eleotion of res ilted as follows j C.R., 80. James Walker; SO.R., Bro. John Abbott; treasurer', Bro. John Robertson (re-elected); Bro. James Macfie (re-elected); S.W., Bro. John Hope; J.W.,. Bro. A. Restieaux; SB., Bro. James Taylor; J.8.,.8r0. Wm. Black. It was\resolved t9 send three delegates to the.nf xt district meeting, and Bros. J. ,Robarte<«n, William B. Anderson, and J, M'Kenzie were appointed to represent the oourt. Bro. W. B. Anderson was appointed auditor. The newly-elected officers, were installed in their respective chairs by D.C.R. Bro. Ji. Gillies and D.B. Bro. W. H, Munro. Dining the evening the D.C.R. (Bro. Gillies) presented P.C.R. Bro. William Bi Anderson with a P.C.R s certificate and neck ribbon in recognition of his past services to the court. Bro. Anderson suitably responded, thanking the members for their present, and stating that although now :j ou.t of office he would still take the same interest in the court in the future as he had done in the past. It was resolved to nominate the following brothers as distrct officers, for the ensuing year :-D Cfi., Bro, W. Perry; D.S.CTI., Bro. :W. H. Mnnro; D. treasurer,; Bro. Ji Macfie; D. secretary, BraW, Woodland j 'DVB., Bro. '&/, Churchill. P.C.R. Broi responded to the toast of the visitors on. behalf of Court Enterprise; KO.R. Bro.
