Arising out of a dispute about rent, a man told a London magistrate the other day that the house was overrun with rats, whioh were found sitting on the bed if he woke up in the night. The captain of an American vessel reports having discovered in a cavern on the Greenland coast eighteen human skeletons, which are supposed to bslong to some unfortunate Polar expedition. Two young ladies dressed as cyclists were recently charged in Paris with shop-lifting. They stowed away a quantity of silk in their knickerbockers.
The South London Electric Railway have taken a step in advance of other companies by permitting the return half of their tickets to be used at any time.
