The Court of Appeal dismissed the appeal in the case of the Sanitas Company v. Ogle respecting the" U3e of the word "Sanitas" by the defendant. An application for leave to appeal to the Privy Council was adjourned till next sitting of the Court. NEW PLYMOUTH, October 25:

At the Magistrate's Court at Waipawa, Joha Tracey, aged seventeen, was charged with setting fire to the Te Aute rdlway station and stealing whisky from the refreshment rooms. The evidence showed that two .full bottles of brandy and a quantity of tobacco had been found in accused's bag, but there was not sufficient evidence to connect the boy With the fire. Tracey was found guilty of theft and sentenced to three months'hard labor.

The s.S. Hawke's Bay, which left for London last night, took the largest cargo of frozen meat ever sent from here by one vessel—viz, 76,862 carcasses, and 3,444 bales wool. . ..- . ■
