MR FISH AND MR GILLIES.

TO THE EDITOR. Sis, —My attention has been drawn to the repont of a special meeting of the Board of Governors, of the Girls’ High Schpol on July 18, in which Mr Fish made improper use of my name. In the first place, Mr Fish said the “ map in, the street” told him that I went to Mr Hay for the purpose of finding out whether Mr Boaepbrock had measured the job or npt. This I say is incorrect. Mr Fish also said that I was jealous of his political career, God forbid- that ever a should follow in his footsteps ! I hope that even this will meet with Mr Fish’s approval.—l am, etc., Alexander Gillies. . Dunedin, July 31.
