DUNDAS STREET PRIMITIVE METHODIST CHURCH.
A social was held in the Howe street Hall last evening, and was attended by about 400 pej-sons, to celebrate the completion of the parsonage, which has been built in Dundas street, near the Primitive Methodist Church. From a statement made it appeared that the cost of the parsonage, exclusive of land, was £432; donations reached £212, the land fund grant was £SO, and debentures had been taken up by members to the extent of £67 10s. The programme, which was thoroughly enjoyed, included anthems by the choir, solos by Miss Sears, Mr Williams, and Mr F. L. Jones, a couple of quartets, and a duet by Misses A. M'Nair and N. Peake. Addresses appropriate to the occasion were delivered by the chairman (Mr J. W. Roberts), the Revs. J. R. Hindes, J. Dawson, and W. Laycock. Votes of thanks were passed before closing to those who had assisted at the social. Mrs Stokes and Miss Gairdner were the accompanists,
