Excursion Tickets issued to the following Stations from 18th December, 1894, to 2nd January, 1895, will be available for return up to and including 12th January, 1895, and may be extended for a further period of 14 days on payment of the difference in value between an ordinary single ticket and half the excursion fare, provided application is made at tho station to which the ticket was originally issued before the expiration of excursion ticket : To Christchurch. The 3 0 p.m. Train from Dunedin to Oamaru will stop where required North of Upper Port Chalmers to allow passengers to alight. Train will leave Dunedin for Port Chalmers at 11.15 p.m., returning at 11.55 p.m. Train leaves Dunedin for Oamaru at 11.35 p.m., stopping where required North of Upper Port Chalmers to set down passengers. Train will leave Hyde for Dunedin at 1.30 p.m. . Train will leave Balclatha for Dunedin at 3.40 p.m., Milton 4.50 p.m., Waihola 5.19 p.m., Greytown 5 52 p.m., Mosgiel 6.12 p.m., arriving Dunedin 6 51 p.m. lhe Train usually leaving Glenomaru for Balclutha at 1.0 p.m. will not leave until 2.30 p.m. • « © Train will leave Balclutha for Glenomaru Tunnel at 8.0 p.m., returning from Glenomaru at 8.55 p.m. Train will leave Dunedin for Balclutha at 11.20 p.m. TUESDAY, Ist JANUARY. Train will leave Dunedin for Palmerstonat 9.40 ajn., Sawyers Bay 10.8, Waitati 10.55, Sea-oliff-11.28, and Waikouaiti 11.55; returning from Palmerston at 3.25 p.m., Waikouaiti 3.55, Seacliff 4.30, Waitati 4.55 p.m., arriving Dunedin 6.10 p.m. The 3.0 p.m. Train from Dunedin will stop where required north of Upper Port Chalmers. Extra Trains leave Dunedin for Port Chalmers at 11.15 a.m. and 11.15 p.m., returning from Port Chalmers at 12.10 p.m. and 11.55 p.m. Trains will run between Balclutha and Glenomaru same as on Wednesdays. The 8.0 p.m. Train from Balclutha will run to Glenomaru Tunnel. Train will leave Dunedin for Hyde at 8.0 a.m., Hindon 10.0 a.m., Middlemarch 11.35 a.m., arriving Hyde 12.25 p.m., returning from Hyde at 5.30 p.m., Middlemarch 6.25 p.m., Hindon 8.0 p.m., arriving Dunedin 10.0 p.m. The Train usually leaving Dunedin for Hyde at 4.20 p.m. will not leave until 5.16 p.m., and will run 1 hour and 5 minutes later than timetable times from Wingatui to Hyde. CALEDONIAN SPORTS AT CLINTON. Train leaves Clinton for Balclutha at 6.25 p.m. CALEDONIAN SPORTS AT OUTRAM. A Special Train leaves Outram for Dunedin at 6.30 p.m. The 8 5 p.m. Train from Burnside will not run. A Train leaves Dunedin for Balclutha and Outram at 11.20 p.m. WEDNESDAY, 2nd JANUARY. WAIKOUAITI RACES. Special Train leaves Dunedin for Palmerston at 9.0 a.m., Waitati 10.25, Seacliff 10.55; returning from Palmerston at 5.30 p.m., Waikouaiti 6.10, Seacliff 6.55. • The Train leaving Palmerston at 4.55 p.m. will run as usual, leaving Waikouaiti at 5.30 p.m. The Train usually leaving Dunedin for Port Chalmers at 8.30 p.m. will not leave until 9.0 p.m.; and the Train usually leaving Port Chalmers at 9.20 p.m. will not leave till 9.35 p.m. The 3.0 p.m. Train from Dunedin will stop where required north of Upper Port Chalmers Train will leave Dunedin for Mosgiel at 10.20 p.m., returning from Mosgiel at 11.30 p.m. A Train will leave Dunedin for Balclutha at 11.20 p.m. By Order. APPLICATION may now.be made for ADVANCES on Mortgage under the Advances to Settlers Act, 1894, at every Post Office and at the office of the undersigned. The form of application can be obtained free of charge, the regulations under the Act perused, and any information obtained how to fill up the form. The classes of lands on which the advances may be made, how much of the value may be advanced, and the valuation fees payable, etc., are shown on the form. < The value for the purpose of a loan is the "estimated saleable value of the estate or interest offered as the security. ~««.«„ ' F.
