HARBOR BOARD REPORTS.

The following is a summary of tho reports to be presented at to-morrow's meeting of the Harbor Board :

The Works Committee recommend that a reply be sent to Messrs Duthie and Co. re the question of porterage to the effect that no necessity has arisen for any change in the present arrangements. The Board's officers will give all due facilities for the depatch of goods subject to Customs regulations. The inspector's report suggests that the dredge be put on time and a-half.

Tho Finance Committee recommend, in respect to Mr Phee's lease, that the Board's auctioneers act as valuers, and that the fee be limited to £1 Is. It is also recommended that the offer of Mr Keith Ramsay (as agent for the s.s. Invercargill) of the sum of £5 for damage to guide posts in the channel be accepted. Accounts passed for payment amounted to £1,052 17s 4d.
