DUST, O.
Hty 'F'IK EDITOR.
g in __l see that the Corporation are aoin o to compel householders to sweep the front of their premises every day. Before doiu» this, I would advise the Council to look”a little nearer home in regard to cleanliness; I allude more particularly to the careless way in which the dust carts do their work. On a windy day half of the refuse is shot into the cart and the balance «oes waltzing down the street. Very often before the round is completed the cart is so loaded that it is folly to put more in, for it is sure to be jerked rjlit again. Now this could easily be remedied by having a light iron covering to the carts with a hole at top to allow the man to shoot it in, as is done in other places, I have often noticed people getting out of the way of approaching dust carts so as to escape a cloud of dust.— J. am, etc., Hodseuoi.dkr.
