CANTERBURY v. AUCKLAND. CHRISTCHURCH, January 5. The weather is beautifully fine for the cricket match Auckland v. Canterbury, which commenced this morning at Lancaster Park. The attendance is limited. The visiting captain won the toss, and elected to bat. Mills and Jacobs were sent to the wickets, Robertson and Labatt being entrusted with the howling. When the score had reached 9 Jacobs was clean bowled by Robertson.
