An exciting- bolt took place in Wellington yesterday. A pair of horses attached tQ a Uuida'u ownedby Mr Thomas Pelham took fright in Taranaki street, and, dashing across, the. reclaimed land, continued their mail career down the Queen's yhatf. Whenthiay reached the end of the wharf the horses fell oyer a pile of timber, and went dowo-ls-' tween the steamer Talune andthestrudtwi The horses.and vehicle were not,«M damaged. Pelham jumped into Mather express to follow the runaways, bnt. an accident, happened to the vetacfe, [Widlif jumping out he hadJiis leg broken. "
