Mr A. I). Willis is to move the Address-in-Reply. The Financial Statement is expected to be brought down the first week of the session. Mr James Fleming, of Takahouka, and-Mr R. M'Nab, the well-known Auckland solicitor, arc mentioned as candidates for the Mataura Beat.
Colonel Fjraser intends to contest the Bay of Plenty seat, which embraces a large number of his present constituents. Mr J. J. Woods, the Tuapeka County clerk, informs the local paper that he has no intention whatever or entering the political arena. It is -whispered that Mr Shore, of Kaitangata, will oppose Mr Allen for Bruce.
