MORE NATIVE TROUBLES.

. News has been received of threatened Native trouble at Fort Opiate 9,. A big block of the country has boot) awarded to two opposing hamiH , and a Native named Hare Hare took-up a large mob of sheep, with the view 'of, occupying the land. ,’The. other hcijitt oppose this, and threaten ’force. The position is regarded as serious, and two constables have proceeded from Rotorua to the scene., Constable Murray interviewed both parties, but found it impossible to bring about even a temporary reconciliation. Shis is the third Native trouble demanding le presence of tlje police in, this district. Already twenty men are stationed at Whakatene in view. of further Uriwera survey trouble, and Constable Murray is now demanding further assistance from Napier.
