SIGHTING INTELLIGENCE.
BOWLING. At 1 Iqgt night’s meeting of the New Zealand Bowling Association the proposal of the Christchurch Bowling Club to withdraw from the Association was considered, and it was resolved —“ TJjat the letter be received, but under all the circumstances the Association deem it desirable that final consideration be deferred until after the annual meeting of the Christchurch Club." Mr Dowling’s letter as to the interpretation of rule 16 of the Association was considered. It was resolved—“ That the full rink may, if they •choose, withdraw a man, or may allow the extra bowls to be played, but they are not compelled to do either one or the other.” CYCLING. At a meeting of the New Zealand Cyclists’ Alliance, held at Christchurch" last night, it was unanimously decided to send a New Zealand team of cyclists to compete in the Australian amateur ‘championships to he held at Sydney next spring. It was resolved to send four representatives, and to ask affiliated clubs to contribute towards the expenses of the team aud to hold a trial meeting if necessary.
