ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
Benjamin Newman, aged fourteen years, in the employ of Morris and Seelye, A.M.P. Buildings,' was received into the hospital this afternoon. He had gone up to his employers’ premises in the lift, and in alighting missed bis hold and fell on to the ground floor. The boy, who received a slight injury to the back of bis bead and a severe shaking, was attended to at the hospital by Dr Mullen.
WELLINGTON, April 27.
A. Richardson, a bootmaker, committed suicide by hanging. He had been in depressed spirits for some time, and to-day was fonnd suspended in.)?ollhill Gully. James Pearce, while engaged i$ Jpading the steamer Wainni yesterday, was struck by a basket of coal, and djed from his injuries in the hospital to-day.
