Roslyn.— At last night’s meeting a letter was read from the Dunedin City Council proposing a conference on repairing the St. Clair sea wall. The Committee considered that the Roslyn ratepayers were not in any way interested in the St. Clair sea wall, and consequently declined to entertain the proposal.—ln reference to the encroachment of Mr A. Barr on the road leading to Hapnka, the Committee recommended that Mr Barr be requested to put back bis fence to the same line as the fence bounding Mr Thomas’s property.—Mr W. Ford’s tender for the work on Littlebonrne road at L 7 15s lOd, and Messrs Miller’s and Jones’s for metalling King street at 5a 3|d a yard were accepted,—The request of the Hospital and Charitable Aid Boards for the continuance of last year’s monthly contributions was agreed to.—Accounts amounting to L 159 11a 6d were passed for payment.—lt was also reported that the overdraft at the bank amounted to Ll27.—The memorial from the residents at Flagstaff, praying that the road to their properties be improved, was referred to the Works Committee.—On the motion of Cr Wilkinson, seconded by Or Liddell, it was resolved—“ That the clerk be instructed to write to the Dunedin City Council offering to pay ball cost of screening a footpath through the Town Belt, between Nevada and Royal terrace.”—The tender of Mr Turner for work ip Ann street was accepted.
