St. Hilda.—At last night’s meeting Mr 6. Cole wrote calling the Council's attention to the bad state of the footpath near his property, corner Scott and Chapman streets; and the inspector was instructed to attend to the matter.—The town clerk, South Dunedin, wrote re purchase' of half-right tp their water mains, The mayor and the town olerk were empowered to complete the purchase.—Complaints from Mr P. Walsh regarding the footpath aronnd his property in Hardy street, and from Mr W. P. Monsop, asking the Council to fill np holes in Dalgety street, pear hie property, were referred to the inspector.—Or A|abn gave notice to move at next meeting—“ That the general rate for the ensuing year be fixed at Is in the pound.”
