Fick, Stephens, Brent, Arlidge, Olapperton, Heele?, Harwood, Young ard servant; two steerage. SAILED.— January 15, Antlora, ship, 1,670 tons, Dav:e°, for London. The barque Samoa, after a passage of fortyfive days from Bueuos Ayres, arrived off the Heads yesterday afternoon and anchored, waiting for orders. The brigantine Camille, from Onehunga, arrived at the Heads yesterday evening and sailed up to the Lower Harbor, where she anchored until this morning, when she was towed up te Dunedin by the tug Plucky. The ring of the buoy that H.M.B. Ringsroerna was made fast to is of colonial production, and If it had been purposely manufactured to break it could not have been made with a greater possibility of that event taking place. The weldings are simply shameful pieces of scamping, and the iron of the ring is of the very poorest quality. We believe that the buoy and ring were made by contract, and tho ring bears evidence that the contractor intended not to loose anything In its making Ibid. The ship Andora completed her loading yesterday evening, and is expected to sail this evening for London. Her cargo consists of 29.287 sacks oats. The flags of all tha vessels at the Dunedin wharves were hoisted half-mast high to-day on account of tho death of H.R.H. the Dnke of Clarence and Avondale. The schooner Spray completed her cargo for Napier to-day, and will sail with the first fair ■wind.
The Tetranora is completing repairs at tbo wharf, and Is expected to leave for Wanganui to morrow. The Morayshire has put out about 1.000 tons of cargo Into the railway trucks at the George street pier. The Rotorua, from the North, arrived at Dunedin whait at 040 p.m. to-day. She left Nelson on the 12th Inst, and called at Picton, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Akaroa; left the latter port at 5 p.m. yesterday, and had fine weather to arrival. The brigantine Camille, with a cargo of timber from Hokianga, arrived at the Heads this forenoon, and was towed up to Dunedin wharf at I p.m. She left Huklanga on the 2nd It st., and had light winds to Cape Bgmont; thence she had a fresh a. W. breeze, and cleared Cook Strait on the oth inst., experiencing light variable winds to arrival. On the 18th October, at the Orient Naval Dockyard. M. Batbey, French Minister of Marine, launched the formidable ironclad Brennus, 12,000 tons. Her demenaions areLength, 114 metres; beam, _8 metres; the development of her engines, 13,500 horse-power. She is guaranteed to attain a speed of 18 knots per hour. Her armament consists of three 58-ton guns known as the B.L, 34 centimetres. She carries two forward on a turret built of steel of coneavo shape; also one aft on the same principle. She has also 10 BL. centimetres they are in a broadside position, besides twelve Gatling guns; also small type rapid-firing torpedo tubes, five in number.
