All this forenoon the doit has been steadily blowing into the shops, destroying hundreds of pounds worth of property, and causing many good Christians to nse profane language—all for the want of a few water carts. Up till 2 p.m. none have appeared in Great King street, Surely the town clerk or inspector of nuisances has power to order out the carts. Why don’t they?—l am, etc.. Visitor, Dunedin, January 11.
