FIRES.

A barn with a quantity of grass seed, etc, valued at LISO, the property of Mr Joseph EUvidson, farmer, of Waikaia Flat, was burnt last night. It is supposed that the fire was accidentally caused. Insurance, LIOO in the Rational. At 9.40 p.m. yesterday a two-roomed bouse at Green Island was burnt. It was owned and occupied by Mrs Sarah Martin, a widow. Nothing was saved but a box with a little olothing in it. The fire is supposed to have been accidentally caused by a spark being blown out of the fireplace. The total value is estimated at L6O, of which sum LSO is covered by insurance in the North British office.
