Mitchell, Milwaukee, who is credited with a fortune of 18.000,000 sterling, which he inherited from his’ father, the projector of the Chicago, Milwaukee, and St, Paul Railroad. Mr Mitchell, sen., was a native of Aberdeenshire, and laid the foundation of his great wealth as a banker in Milwaukee.
