THE QUEENSLAND LOAN.
A HUGE FAILURE. [By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.} [Per Press Association.! LONDON, May 27. The tenders for the Queensland 3£ per cent. loan of two and a-half millions, with a minimum of 94, were opened to-day. Only L 300.000 was tendered for. It has been decided that the balance of the loan shall remain open for a week at the minimum. None of the syndicates subscribed, as they have not unloaded the previous loans of the colony, [Special to Prbss Association. J LONDON, May 27. (Received May 28, 1891, at 1.16 p.m.) The exact amount tendered for the Queensland loan was L 296.800.
