FIRES.

Mr George Milne's blaokemith's shop and two attached rooms, at Waikoikoi, were burnt on Sunday. The building was valued at LBO, and the tools therein, the property pf Thpmas Gibson, at L2O. There was no insurance, It is supposed that the oause was swaggers leaving a Sre in one of the roomß. On the 23rd inst. a bouse belonging to Mr Joseph Marshall, of Teesdale, Jacob River, was burnt, the £re being supposed to have been oattted by* defect in Some of the furniture was saved, The insurance was L6O on the building in the Union Office, and the loss is estimated to exceed that sum by L 45,
