(Received May 4, 1891, at 10.16 a.m) Mr Bottomley, manager of the AngloAustrian Publishing Union, has filed a petition in bankruptcy, His liabilities are stated at L 350.000, and there is an estimated surplus of L 86.000. The judge has ordered the Anglo-Aus-trian Publishing Union be wound up. Bottomley was the vendor, and the directors received LBB,ooo r out of which they paid large dividends, but never bought or transferred any of the properties. L 93.000 has disappeared, THE LATEST SCANDAL. LONDON, May 2. Mr De Cobain, M.P., against whom a serious charge has been made, is in Spain. He alleges that he is the victim of a political conspiracy. INVESTMENT OF TRUST FUNDS. LONDON, May 2.
