Wheat ex ship Northern Monarch, from Lyttelton, sold at 3Ss 3d. The value of imports into Great Britain for IS9O is L6,700,0C0 below that of the previous year, while the exports show an increase of L 14,600,000. Edward O’Brien, another Invincible, has been discharged from gaol. The National Bank of New Zealand declared a dividend of 5 per cent, per annum. The Admiralty proposes to store 2,000 tons of coal in the vicinity of Sydney Harbor. If land can be obtained at a reasonable price the coal will be stored on shore ; if not, coal hulks will be built to receive it. The French revenue for 1890 shows a surplus of 60,000,000fr (L 2,400,000).
