MUNICIPAL.
Caversham. —At this Council’s meeting last night there were present the Mayor (Mr Bridgman), Crs Wilson, Rae, Allan, Y oung, M'lndoe, M'Gonigal, Boyes, M'Larer, Baverstock, and Rustcn.—The Works and Baths Committee recommended that a footpath be formed 4ft wide from St. Kildaroad to Stuart street, and a footpath 2ft wide from Stuart street to Main South road, the coat to be about Lls.—The Inspector reported that the kerbiug in front of Mr Mitchell’s property on the Porbury road had been laid, and the asphalting of the footpath was being proceeded with. He recommended that various footpaths in the borough should he tarred and sanded ; and he further reported that the planking in several parts of the main drain in Anderson Bay had given way.—The letter of Mr F. Symonds re an insanitary drain in Broughton street was referred to the inspector to act. — The Town Clerk of South Dunedin’s request, that the footpaths on the Caversham boundary be cleared of docks, was referred to the inspector.
