As each team had suffered bat one defeat this season more interest was evinced than is usually taken in junior matches. The Albion, batting first, made 83, of which number M'Kinley was credited with 35, got in excellent style. When the Orange had lost most of their best wickets for 40 an unseemly altercation took place. The Grange captain, alleging that the Albion team included some of the club's first eleven, requested Johnstone, who had been taking part in the Edendale match, to go to the wickets. Objection was naturally taken by the opposing captain, and a squabble ensued. The teams meet again on Saturday, Other Matches.—Port Chalmers (103) v. Opoho (42); Warehousemen Second (41) v.
