MUNICIPAL.
Cavsrsham.— At this Council’s meeting; past night there were present—the Mayor (Mr Cole), Crs Rust on, Young, Allan, Baveratock, Bridgman, Roberts, Wilson, Hancock, U'Oonigai, Boyos, U'lndoe, and Rae.—The Inspector recommended that 160 loads of rotten rock be procured lor repairing the roadway in Sydney street.—The Works and Baths Committee recommended that seven loads of screenings be spread on the north side of Cameron street.—The Finance Committee reported that LB3 Os 3d had been lodged in the bank since last meeting. The reports were adopted.—Messrs Callao and Callaway wrote that Mr George Rackley did not admit liability with respect to the breakage of a lamp post at Kensington. Referred to Mayor’s Committee.—lt was decided to grant the Dunedin Fire Brigade the use of the small hose reel now lying at Kensington, for practice only,—The chairman of tho Cavorsham School Committee wrote regarding the cleansing of tho school closets, it was decided to, inform tho Committee that the Couuci have no potter to grant their request.
