Prince Bismarck’s Presentiment.
The Berlin correspondent of the ‘ Daily News ’ tells the following remarkable anecdote : travelling from Friedrichsruh to Berlin in the Hamburg train, and at one of the stations General von Gaprivi got in, intending also to proceed to Berlin. As he noticed some acquaintances among those with Prince Bismarck he got himself introduced, and remained in the saloon carriage entering into lively conversation with the Chancellor. With regard to this meeting. Prince Bismarck, on the evening of the same day, said to some of the gentleman of the entourage : 1 1 have often wondered who is likely to be my successor. To day I have seen him. 1 ”
