The Banks Peninsula left the Kat tray street wharf at midnight yesterday for Oamaru. The captain of the s s. Dingadee reports that he passed the wreck of a. cutter of between 23 or 30 tons off -.tephens Island. She was painted b'ack, was dismasted, and water-logged; but the weather was too rough for him to go c!o»o enough to identify her. THE DIRECT STEAMERS.
