AUCKLAND, January 20. George Grey, who is at Waiwera, suffering from a severe cold, has given L2O to the Jubilee fund. Donations are coming in rapidly, and the funds are much larger than was ever expected. The country people are already coming into town in large numbers.

THAMES, January 20. A large meeting of miners decided to join the local branch of the Amalgamated Miners’ Union. Five hundred have already joined.
