ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
There were three admissions to the Dunedin Hospital on Saturday. William Martin was received in tho morning suffering from a severe scalp wound, caußed by a blow from a tomahawk received during a disturbance. A lad named William Finnerty was received about midday. Ho had received a fracture of the wrist through falling off a dray at Loith Valley. In the afternoon «. hoy named Charles Galbraith, residing at Musselburgh, was run over by a cab and received an injury to the shoulder joint and a slight scalp wound. All the cases were attended to by Dr Barclay. Alice Cuun, aged thirty, wifo of Alfred Gunn, dealer in patent medicines, was found dead in her room at the Palace Hotel, Christchurch, yesterday morning. Shu ;lihl her husband retired about 1 a.m., .•mil had some word.'t. She lay down on the M t with a pillow under her head. Her •i.=h:ind called her about ten and found li;t dead. A box, which had contained opium pills, was found on the table empty.
