BOARD OF GOVERNORS.

The High School Board of Governors met this day; present-Dr Stuart (in the chair), Professor f>hand, the Hon. AV. H. Reynolds, His Worship tho Mayor, Dr Brown, and Mr J. Kulton, M.H.R. A communication was received from the University notifying the reappointment of Dr ktuart and Professor Shand as representatives on the Board, A communication was received from the Education Department at Wellington notifying that the Government had reappointed the Rev. A. B. Fitchett and the Hon. W. H. Reynolds as representatives. A communication was received from the Otago Education Board notifying the reappointment of Dr Brown and Mr J. Fulton, M.H.R., as repreHcntativef. Dr Stu»rt was re-elected chairman, and Professor Shand honorary treasurer. Letters were received from a number of purt chasers of deferred-payment land asking for relief, and they were referred to a committee of 1 tho Board to consider and report on.

Mr E. B. Morrison, manager of the Boys boarding establishment, forwarded the annual report and balance-sheet in connection with the institution.—The Boaid, in receiving the same, expressed their satisfaction with them. A memo, was received from t lie Education Department at Wellington f orwai ding theorist of those students who had gained Otago Educa tion Boaid seholaiships at the December examination, and of those others who had, by gaining at least 50 per cent, of tho obtainable markx, become entitled to free education at the Otago High School.
