NEW ZEALAND RAILWAYS. CHRISTMAS HOLIDAYS, 1888-89. HE following ALTERATIONS in and ADDITIONS to the ordinary TimeTablo will be made in connection with the Christmas Holidays : MONDAY, 24th DECEMBER. An Excursion Train will leave Dunedin for Christchuroh at 8.40 p.m., stopping at Waitati, Seacliff, Waikouaiti, Palraeraton, Hampden, and any stat'on north of Oamaru. Extra Trains will leave Dunedin for Balclutha and intermediate stations at 9.0 p.m., and for Port Chalmers and Mosgiel at 11.15 p.m. TUESDAY, 25th DECEMBER. The Morning Train between Dunedin and Ravensbourne, and the 6.15 p.m. Train to Burnsido, will not run. The 3.15 p.m. Train from Dunedin will stop at any Btation north of Upper Port Chalmers where required to set down passengers. WEDNESDAY, 26th DECEMBER. The Morning Train between Dunedin and Ravensbourne will not run. A Train will leavo Dunedin for Palmerston and intermediate stations at 9.40 a.m., leaving Sawyers Bay 10.8 a.m., Waitati 11.0 n.m.; returning from Palmerston 4.0 p.m., Waikouaiti 4.35 p.m., Seaoliff 5.15 p.m., Waitati 5.40 p.m., Purakanui 6.5 p.m. The 3.15 p.m. Train from Dunedin will stop at any station north of Upper Port Chalmers where required to set down passengers. EXCURSION FARES TO HILLGROVfI. Opening of New Baths at Moeraki. Cheap Excursion Tickets to Hillgrove will be ißsued at Dunedin and Pelichet Bay by the Train leaving Dunedin at 8.5 a.m., and will be available for return on same day by the Express Train leaving Hillgrove at 4 42 p.m., or by a Train leaving Hillgrove at 7.20 p.m. The New Baths at Moeraki will be opened on 26th Deoember. The Return Fares will be : First Class, 7s 6d ; Second Class, ss. The Train usually leaving Palmerston for Dunedin at 6.10 p.m. will not leave until 8 15 p m., leaving Waikouaiti at 8.45 p.m. and Waitati 9.43 p.m. OTAGO REGATTA.
