Wednesday, December 12. The contract steamer fonic will leave Lyttelton for Plymouth via Rio de Janeiro on Thursday, December 13. Mails close hero as For United Kingdom and Foreign Countries via tho United Kingdom, per Te Anau, at 1.30 Registered correspondence, book packets, newspapers, and money ordere at 12 30 p.m. The above mail will close for newspapers, money orders, and registered letters at 12.30 p.m. and for letters at 1.20 p.m. at the branch post office, Dunedin North. At the South Dunedin office, for newspapers, monev orders, and registered letters at noon, and for letters at Ip.m.
The Arawata leaves Auckland for Fiji about thoßthinst. The ss Richmond leaves Auckland for Tonga, Samoa, and Tahiti about tho 29th inst. The s.s. Kahu leaves Lyttelton for the Chatham Islands aboat the 31st inst. (Signed) Edw. D. Butts, Chief Postmaster. Chief Post Office, Dunedin, December 7.
