that Airmi's conduct and expressed determination to obtain a will in her favor were perfectly open and natural, although there was, he admitted, a conflict between her testimony and that of Mr Carroll as to what Renata had said in regard to making a new will. In the v/ill case in the Appeal Court counsel, referring to the Archdeacon's evidence, pointed out that the witness expressed himself in cross-examination to the effect that he was not mistaken in what Renata said. The dead body of Thomas Topping, an old resident in the Depton district, was found in the Ashley River to-day, evidently drowned a week ago. He leaves a wife and grown up family.
