A versifier took two of his sonnets to a renowned literary critic, asking him to decide which of the two was the better, as he intended to have it printed. The critic glanced rapidly over the nrsc, and said : "Print the other," "But, air," replied the astonished author, "you have not yet read the second." " Print the other," the critic impatiently repeated ; " nothing could be worse than this."
