CITY COUNCIL.
Three motions are on the Order Paper for Wednesday's meeting :—Cr Cohen; "That a gratuity be voted to the oflicers who prepared the burgess roll for the current year." Cr Kimbell; "That the Gas Engineer be requested to explain his action in incurring an expenditure of between L2OO andLSOO in testing gas maius, without first obtaining the sanction of the Gas Committee or of this Council." CrCohen: " That the floor of the Union street bridge be repaired immediately.*'
